Vision: II Chronicles 5: 13 & 14
The trumpeters and singer joined in unison as with one voice, to give praise
and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments,
they raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang: "He is good;
His love endures forever." Then the temple of the Lord was filled with
a cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud,
for the glory of the Lord filled the temple of God.
We are seeking the cloud of God's glory here at CPC!
Mission: I Chronicles 25: 6 & 7
All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the
LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of
God, according to the king's order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman. So the number
of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD,
even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight.
Our Mission is to build and maintain a powerful, life-changing, soul-stirring
music ministry experience at CPC via the collaborative efforts of individuals
who are commissioned to serve through musical praise and worship.
Purpose: Our Purpose is to create a
worship experience that is a perpetual, personal, witness of God’s
power, grace and love.
The North American Division is calling all Adventist songwriters to submit praise and worship songs for the Advent Praise Worship CP. Allow your ministry to make history! >>

A Message from the Minister of Music
Cheryl Wilson-Bridges
As a worship leader, singing harmonic praise songs is not all there
is to worship. Worship is the act of praising God for His mighty
deeds. Song is one means of showing our gratefulness to God. Song is one way
of showing God we want to be actively involved in His praise. However, worship
is not just song. It is a Christian mindset that becomes manifest in a lifestyle.
Song is
merely
an outburst of our praise. As we continue to grow in grace and spiritual fortitude,
God’s presence becomes a transforming witness to us and others. As part
of this transformation, we as worship leaders must develop a deep and abiding
relationship with God. This relationship enables us to show genuine sincerity
and transparency before God. This witness found in the power and presence
of God becomes contagious. Worship that is meaningful and filled with praise
empowers the leaders of the local church to make disciples. These disciples
– “disciplined ones” – are called to serve God and
minister to the people of His goodness and love. This is the purpose of the
CPC Music Ministry department: To create a worship experience that is a perpetual,
personal witness of God’s power, grace and love.
